Quick verdict

Which one fits you?

Two honest lists. If you recognise yourself in the first one, Wati is the better choice.

If this is you

Choose Wati if…

  • Your WhatsApp is mainly a support channel, run by a team in a shared inbox
  • You want to design your own chatbots with a no-code builder
  • Your team would work better in an interface available in more than one language
  • You value a strong free-tools library and a well-known academy to learn from
  • You want a vendor with an established presence beyond India
If this is you

Choose 3xRetention if…

  • You want the retention work to happen without you building it
  • You want reports on repeat revenue and retention rate, not conversation counts
  • You need B2B commerce in chat: quotations, proforma invoices, slab pricing, GST invoices
  • You want segments that build themselves from conversations and orders
  • You want Meta's conversation charges passed through at cost, on a separate invoice line

Where Wati wins

Where Wati is genuinely better

Team inbox maturity. Wati's shared inbox and its support workflows run deep. If your WhatsApp is mainly a support channel, worked by a team, that depth is a real reason to choose it. Ours is an inbox built for selling and follow-up, not a helpdesk with ticket queues.

Chatbots you design. Wati's no-code builder lets you decide every step of every chatbot. We do not have a builder, by design — but if control is what you want, that is a genuine reason to choose them.

A multi-language interface. If your team does not all work in the same language, an interface they can switch into their own matters every day.

Free tools and an academy. Wati has a strong free-tools library and a well-known academy. We publish calculators and guides, but nothing on that scale yet.

Presence beyond India. Wati is established globally. We launched in 2026 and we focus on India. They also publish their own comparison pages, which is a sign of confidence worth respecting.

Where we are different

What 3xRetention
does differently

Four differences, and the mechanism behind each. None of them make Wati a bad tool — they make it a different one.

Wati is built around the conversation itself — the inbox, the chatbot, the support workflow. 3xRetention is built around what happens after it ends. The agent works out who is likely to buy again and starts the follow-up itself: the unpaid payment link, the regular who stopped ordering, the cart left behind.

In Wati you design each chatbot on a no-code builder. Here the agent learns your business once — catalogue, prices, rules — and creates the flows itself. A builder gives you control; the cost is that every new product and every new objection means another flow to build and keep current.

Conversation reporting tells you how busy the inbox was. We report repeat revenue, retention rate, customer lifetime value and cost per repeat order, measured against a holdout group that received nothing — so you see what the follow-up actually added.

Quotations, proforma invoices, slab pricing, customer-specific rate lists and GST invoicing inside the chat — the India-specific B2B commerce that decides whether a distributor or manufacturer can run on WhatsApp.

And Meta's conversation charges are passed through at cost, as a separate line on your invoice, so you can check them against Meta's rate card.

Pricing

Pricing compared

We do not print Wati's prices until we have checked them that week, so their column sends you to their own pages. The row that matters most is the markup on Meta's charges — ask every provider about it.

Migration

Switching from Wati

What moves with you, what does not, and who does the work.

What happens to each part of your setup when you move from Wati
WhatDetail
Your numberStays yours. You own the WhatsApp Business Account, so it moves with you. There is a brief switchover, usually under an hour, which we schedule outside your busy period.
Your contactsExport from Wati as CSV and import here. Opt-in status carries across, which matters — do not lose it.
Your templatesTemplates live on Meta's side, not the provider's, so approved templates come with you. You do not resubmit them.
Your chat historyHistorical conversations do not transfer between providers. Export them from Wati before you switch if you want the record.
Your flowsThese do not transfer, and here they do not need to — the agent builds its own. Tell us what your existing flows do so it starts from the right place.
Who does the workWe do the migration with you on a call. Most take under two hours end to end.
Questions

Questions about switching from Wati

Yes. Wati is a solid global product with a mature team inbox, no-code chatbots and a well-known academy, and many Indian businesses run on it. The honest questions are about fit, not quality: how the pricing works out in rupees at your volume, and whether you need India-specific B2B commerce — quotations, slab pricing and GST invoices in the chat. That second part is where we focus.

No. The WhatsApp Business Account belongs to you, not to Wati, so the number comes with you. The switchover usually takes under an hour and we schedule it outside your busy period. Approved templates sit on Meta's side, so they move too and you do not resubmit them.

They stay behind — chatbot flows do not transfer between providers. Here they do not need to, because the agent builds its own follow-up from what it learns about your business. Tell us what your existing chatbots do before we start, and the agent begins from the same place rather than from scratch.

Yes. Every plan has a shared inbox with unlimited team members, and the agent hands conversations to a person with a summary of what has already been said. If your team depends on ticket queues and support SLAs, though, Wati's support workflows go deeper than ours and you may be better staying.

The chatbot builder, which we deliberately do not have. The depth of Wati's support workflows, its multi-language interface, and its academy and free-tools library. Your chat history inside Wati, unless you export it first. And a longer track record — we launched in 2026.

Meta's own rates will not — they are the same for every provider. What can change is whether anything is added on top. We pass Meta's charges through at cost, as a separate line on your invoice. Ask any provider you are comparing to show you the same line, and check it against Meta's rate card.

Comparisons are based on publicly available information as of September 2026. Product details change — check with each vendor before deciding.
